The Facility
A downloadable game
* Looks like the web build was broken but I can't seem to reupload it right now. If you still want to play I did upload a Windows build. Sorry for the inconvenience :/
For Brackeys 2020.2 Game Jam!
The theme of the jam was Rewind.
The last jam I participated in was Ludum Dare 46, and I gotta say, week long game jams are much more my speed. I was so stressed out during those 3 days oh my god. I still had fun then, and I had plenty more fun creating The Facility.
Controls:
Left/Right - Move
Space - Jump
Left/Right/Up Arrow Keys - Dash (Once unlocked)
* You can dash Diagonally aswell
Interact - E
* If you see text appear like how it does in the screenshot labeled "Interact", you can interact with an object at that point.
In Dialogue:
Left Shift - Speeds up the text
Tab - Skips the dialogue (Wouldn't blame you tbh)
E - After the line of dialogue is completed, pressing E will advance to the next sentence, or conclude the conversation if there is no next sentence
Story:
A high-ranking burglar has received word of a valuable prize that resides on the premises of an old abandoned facility. The location supposedly went out of use long ago, but that doesn't explain the flashing lights nor the constant sounds of clanking and scraping coming from it's direction.
About the Game:
So it's a 2d platformer (basic I know, I wanted to keep it simple this time around!) wherein the Rewind mechanic comes into play whenever you are falling. Basically, if you are falling too fast, you'll trigger a Rewind and you'll be rewound back to the last frame you were on the ground. Objects around the environment are rewinded aswell!
