These Desolate Woods

Explore the forest as you try to keep your wit's about you while surrounded by rabid cultists who wish to sacrifice you. Don't test your luck too much, every battle brings your heart closer to the edge.

Exploration features enemies which take after pokemon trainers movement types, such as walking a pre-set path, wandering aimlessly around an area, as well as turning and facing different directions in both random and preset intervals. 

Battles feature a Quick time-based event system. Nail them and receive a BPM reduction! Miss them, and you'll have to watch your heart rate soar into dangerous territory. 

Controls:

• Move -> WASD
• Next Dialogue -> Click mouse or press any key

The art is temporary, or at least not intended to be final. I want to be focusing on mechanics/programming for now, and despite how much I'd love the game to look good, I don't care too much about visuals for now!
